Joanne Hogue

Partner, Co-Founder

With over 27 years of experience in public relations, Jo works with SCPR’s clients to develop strategic PR campaigns and develop high-level media strategies to deliver tier-one and impactful results, leveraging her established relationships with leading business, technology, manufacturing, and vertical media outlets.

Jo spearheads strategic PR programs that elevate client visibility, including securing top-tier media placements, developing leading thought leadership programs, and creating successful campaigns for new product and company announcements. Her ability to create informative pitches that will resonate with the media, provides her with the ability to up-level PR campaigns and raise brand awareness for our clients.

Previously a managing director of a technology PR agency, Jo brings a deep understanding of how to align strategy, messaging, and execution to drive measurable success.

A native of the UK, Jo has spent the past 27 years in the United States with her husband and two sons.

Dina Grills Petrosky

Partner, Co-Founder

Dina has over 30 years of experience in media and communications – as both a journalist and a public relations professional. She and Joanne have worked together in PR since 1999 and Dina has fond memories of Y2K and its less than catastrophic outcome. She believes being a boutique PR agency is the 'secret sauce' that helps Smart Connections PR engage and quickly produce results for its clients.

Times have changed and PR moves faster than it ever has before. Dina oversees Smart Connections PR’s account teams to ensure client news is turned into actionable items for media and analysts. Dina is the chief content creator at Smart Connections PR and spearheads thought leadership article creation, award and speaking opportunity initiatives, and ensures clients receive the accolades of which they are worthy. She creates impactful social media campaigns and has been known to write an irreverent hashtag or two.

Dina spent a decade in radio broadcasting where she enjoyed stints as an Associated Press award winning news director, talk show host, and alternative rock disc jockey in the Providence, RI metro market.

Dina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, and a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies, both from The University of Rhode Island.
